1957 Taylor County Calico Queen Contest Opens
The 5th Annual Calico Queen Contest aims to fund the Taylor County Fair and crown a Calico Queen. The Grafton Sentinel offers 20 percent of new subscription money and 10 percent of renewals to contestants, with top prizes a $100, $75, and a $50 U S Savings Bond. second and third place serve as Maids of Honor.
