Officials Seek WV Soldier's Manslaughter Trial Stand
Benwood officials and American Legion Post 46 report support for Airman Marion Mussili of Benwood in a manslaughter case over the death of Greek Gen. Stephen Sarfaris on May 31. Deegan says discussions with Rep Arch Moore and Sen Chapman Revercomb, plus Pentagon spokesmen, aim to stop Mussili's surrender to Greek authorities. Neely notes Mussili is held in a Greek building but not jailed, and Hamley says Moore and other lawmakers are pursuing actions to protect the status of forces agreement.
