Bluefield Printer Leaps To Death From Hotel Window
A 30 year old employee of a Bluefield printing firm died last night after leaping from the eighth floor of a West Virginia hotel. Police say Roy Webster of Pocahontas Virginia left a note for his widow and appeared in poor health. His body landed in Federal street about 23 feet from the base. Survivors include one child.

Drivers Commended For Safe Bus Driving In 1947 48
Eleven county school bus drivers will receive commendation cards from the West Virginia chapter of the American Safety Council in Charleston for a perfect driving record in 1947 48.
