Polio patient awaits parents' Christmas gifts in crash
A nine year-old polio patient at Mariet hospital waited for parents who died en route to visit her. The Fleshman couple Jack N Fleshman 29 and Retha Roxana Fleshman 8 from Anjean Greenbrier county were killed when their car collided with a tractor-trailer on U S Route 60 at Cedar Grove. Truck driver Albert E Botkin 33 of Springfield Ohio faced manslaughter charges and a hearing was set before Macixtrain Ed Smith in Chelgar. Botkin held in Charleston county jail overnight.
