Tornadoes blizzards and lightning killed at least 11 people across the nation over the weekend with 34 related deaths. Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Oklahoma suffered major damage and casualties. Weekend auto crashes yield one arrest, no injuries
Three accidents were reported by state police over the weekend. Henry Clay White, 26, of Flemington, was arrested for lacking a valid operator's license after his 1937 car collided with a second 1937 sedan on Route 77 between Flemington and Galloway Friday night. both drivers, Russell Leonard Knotts, 25, of Flemington and White, escaped injury. A hearing is set before Justice of the Peace Tra Marks in Flemington. Saturday injuries were reported in a Route 50 crash near Riverside Drive involving Earnest Leo Sayres and a following car driven by Ray Behrens of Washington, D C. A Wednesday wreck on Route 50 nine miles west of Grafton saw Archie Edil Sharps’s truck and Raleigh A. Draggett’s coupe collide as the latter tried to pass, with no injuries and about 200 dollars damage.
