Eugene Oregon August 29 AP Two officers were shot and two others wounded in a gun battle with Ray Sutherland moonshiner near Marcola. The elder Sutherland allegedly barricaded in a cabin after ambush and was believed seriously wounded but defiant. Deputy Warden Joe Saunders and Officer Oscar Daley sought to arrest Sutherlands son Baude 20. Duley and Carlyle panicked as firing erupted. Duley evacuated to hospital.
