Gusher Strikes In Lost Run Field At Harrisville
Boehm and Strickler well No 3 in Lost Run field produced a strong oil stream Monday night, the first local gusher in years. Early Tuesday the flow subsided and the well was shut in. Stockholders estimate possible production near 1500 barrels but caution it is uncertain. Drilling paused while tanks and lines are installed and a gas engine replaces the boiler due to dangerous gas-filled atmosphere. If flow allows, drilling may resume soon. Number 3 is the second successful well this summer on the Boehm and Strickler farm.
