Mr and Mrs Lewis Christopher of Graettinger celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 24, 1985. Relatives from Newton Estherville Wallingford and other towns attended as well as longtime friends. The couple married September 24 1885 at Burr Oak school house Emmet County.

Mr and Mrs A M Hermansen of Ruthven celebrate their fiftieth Uwerkling anniversary on September 30 with a noon wedding dinner for immediate family. Open house 2 to 5 pm. They were married at the bride's parents home in Lost Island township fifty years ago. Mrs Hermansen maiden name Martina Larsen. Parents lived on the place now owned by Jorgen Larsen. A. P. Thompson will transfer his Graettinger grocery stock to Mr. and Mrs. Wim Olson and Sanford of Dolliver, taking possession next Monday. Olson family bought fixtures and building, Thompson bought the business Nov 1, 1929, and added a wheat department. Thompson plans to move to California. the Olsons bring twelve years of Dolliver store experience. The community wishes the Thompsons well and welcomes the new proprietors.
