Crop Insurance Records For 1945 Crops Released

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation wrote 164444 applications covering 199300 farms for 1945 crops led by cotton. Over 95000 applications covering 113183 farms in 16 producing states were received for cotton. Emperor Haile Selassie grants Sinclair Oil a sweeping five year exclusive development concession in Mthinpia with 50 percent territory release after five years and a 26 percent relinquishment after a further five year exploratory period. Northwestern Africa’s Ethiopia compares in size to several U.S. states. Sinclair will pay royalties to the emperor, fund schools hospitals clinics and research, and cover education for officials in the United States for ten years.
