Father Is Dead After Long Illness In This City
T Sullivan died at his home at 6 25 Sunday evening after a long illness with anemia. He suffered a gradual decline since July and died peacefully with his wife and family at his bedside. The Catholic church funeral was held Wednesday with Father Kelly officiating. Born November 15 1852 in County Cork Ireland he lived in England before moving to the United States in 1881 and settling in Clarion Iowa later moving to Graettinger. He and Kathryn Sullivan married February 17 1885 and had thirteen children, nine living. He was a devout Catholic, upright in business, and valued family first, with many relatives attending the funeral.

Preparing For Next Labor Day Meeting at P J McCarty Land Office
A meeting was held at the P J McCarty land office Friday evening to plan next Labor Day. A J Johnson was named chairman and J J Sullivan secretary. Concessions will be placed down the middle of the street to ease sidewalk congestion. An executive committee was formed to appoint subcommittees and handle details for a record breaking celebration. Mr and Mrs Irven Myhre of Ratherville visited Mrs Sheffield.
