Friday night football at Evergreen park pits the Pirates against the Sioux Rapids Indians as the host publishers Ted Witter and Graettinger recall last year’s 14 to 0 loss and the 64th annual Labor Day wager of pie and coffee at the Witter residence.

Emmetsburg hostesses Mrs Adolph Spies Mrs Peter Hurt Elisabeth Spies and Mrs Charles Spies welcomed guests at the New Inn Okoboji on Saturday Sept 3 for bride elect Posey Pequin of Minneapolis. Robert Spica son of Mr and Mrs Charles Spies will wed Miss Pequin on Oct 22 in Minneapolis.
