From Mitchel Field to Panama Airmail Training Chronicle
A memoir fragment recounts early air corps years including mistaken identity as Pretty Boy Floyd, weather flights from Mitchel, and grueling 1930s airmail routes. The narrator describes spins, instrument flying, crossing the country, marriage near Georgia, Panama field construction, and training cadets amid looming war.
