Judge Kenyon Dies A Leading Iowa Judge and Senator
Judge William S Kenyon of Fort Dodge a former United States Circuit Court of Appeals judge and senator died at his Swasco Estates Maine summer home Saturday at age 64 a heart attack six weeks earlier. He served on the Hoover era crime commission known as the Wickersham commission and urged a national referendum on prohibition. He was regarded as a leading national figure and highly esteemed across party lines.

Pete Sturdevant was injured last Thursday at the Rock Island gravel pit north of Graettinger while loosening a rack. A crowbar slipped, crushing his right foot which was on a rail. He was taken to Estherville hospital and will be laid up for one or two weeks.

Teenager dies after car crash in Manson office
Miss Tad Martin aged 19 of Lohrville died in a doctor's office in Manson after an automobile accident Friday. Her light touring car tipped over on a corner, pinning her beneath the vehicle. She suffered chest crush injuries and a fractured skull.

Burglar Proof Safe Installed In Emmetsburg Bank
J A Spies bought a large $3,500 cash safe used in Wallingford’s Farmers Savings bank. It was moved to Emmetsburg Monday for use in the Iowa Trust Savings bank, costing $90 installed including $75 purchase and $15 moving fee.
