Community Fourth Celebrations Warm and Busy
A large crowd gathered for a village event with a morning program and afternoon sports. Highlights included speeches by Rev. Bennnett and Gov. E.G. Dunn on citizenship, performances by Nettie McCullough and Ellen O Connor, and several races and a tug of war. A rider, Frank Masters, broke a collar bone in a horse heat, but overall funds surpassed expenses.
