Thomas Jensen Takes Own Life In Ill Health
Thomas Jensen ended his life by shooting himself in a wood-shed after a period of ill health and hospital visits in Rochester, Heron Lake, and Iowa City. Neighbors described him as rugged but broken by illness. obituary plans will follow next week. Also reported are deaths of Prof. D. A. The funeral for Frank Ebert who died October 2 in Great Falls Montana was held Sunday at 2 PM at the M B Church in Graettinger. Rev A R Cuthbert delivered a sermon on Fellowship. Burial followed north of town with Woodman lodge pallbearers C A Vanney B Elsenbast John Wikert I F Noble E B Green and S C Warnhart. Ebert was born July 9 1859 in Cook County Illinois and came to town as a child settling with his parents at Wheatland.

Graettinger Boys and Girls Lose at Cylinder
Graettinger High School teams traveled with Professor Johnson and supporters to Cylinder Friday. The Graettinger boys were defeated 21 to 7 and the girls 16 to 11. Cylinder’s larger players and team play gave them the win. Graettinger’s next game is October 27 at Graettinger and Cylinder hosts November 10.

Cement plant inspection by Gilmore City group
Suspected Cement Phint, Emmet Moore and family, Dr Th T Nance, Louis Christopher, Fred Spies and Mrs Fahnestock agreed to Gilmore City Wednesday to inspect the cement plant. Dir Nane says it is a wonderful sight with thousands of dollars invested in machinery. The plant has supplied crushed stone for roads and paving and produces fine limestone used for cement. The operation is a million dollar Iowa capital venture with Grachtinger citizens investing about 340000 in the plant.
