County Board Approves 1958 Local Construction Program
On Sept 19 1957 the Board of Supervisors met with township delegates to form a Board of Approval for the 1958 construction program. A P Ricklefs presided with members Ricklefs Bargman McConnell High Cody and delegates from West Bend Ellington Rush Lake Booth Fern Valley Great Oak Silver Lake Fairfield Emmetsburg Highland Independence Nevada Freedom Vernon Walnut Lost Island. Minutes from Dec 20 1956 were approved as tentative pending budget and state highway commission approval. The plan calls for 8 ½ miles graded 8 ¼ miles graveling and eight bridges to be built or repaired.
