A church mission conducted by Rev Father Frossland of the Paulist order in Chicago continues at the local Catholic church from Sunday morning to next Sunday evening. Morning Masses are 7 and 8, with afternoon instruction at 3 and evening services at 7 30 featuring sermons on spiritual life.
John Quamn age 27 in Emmetsburg jail Sunday night hanged himself with a towel tied to a cross beam. He was arrested on a charge of intoxication and became despondent in custody. His only relative in the country is a brother at Sioux City.
South Walnut Ladies Aid Society plans a bazaar in the Hawkeye theatre basement Graettinger next Saturday October 16 with lunch served afternoon and evening. An invitation extends to all to attend.

Reeves says he has candy for anyone who does not smoke. Anderson appreciates the volunteer fire fighters for saving other buildings and thanks them for their work.
