Oral Bonstead Captures Five State Butter Contest Win
Oral Bonstead, operator at the Graettinger creamery, won first in the five state butter contest at the Waterloo Dairy Congress with 95.50. Albert Harms of Oelwein was second at 96.26 and Floyd Suss of Wyoming, with 95. Oral received a gold plated pen and pencil set. Bonstead and Locals Jermer Iverson and Sophus Rasmussen drove to Waterloo to learn the news. This marks his first victory since taking charge last August. Battermakers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Tennessee and Iowa competed. The Times offers congratulations to the new champion.
