Graettinger Man Murdered by Neighbor Near Glenwood City
Lee Kerr aged 61 and a former local resident was killed by Earl Brandt 37 near Glenwood City Wisconsin during silo filling. Brandt fired through a bedroom window after planning to kill Kerr, taking him to the county jail after surrendering following the shooting. Kerr had lived in the area five years and was respected. Brandt faced circuit court in November. Mrs EB W Johnson of Estherville died in Chicago after gallstone surgery. remains to Estherville for burial.

The Bishop Heelan of Sioux City visited Graettinger yesterday to confirm a large class at the Catholic church. About sixty members attended as Father Kelly had taught church doctrine for months and prepared them to answer questions. Father McNerney of Emmetsburg and Father Smith of Ayrshire assisted in the exercises.
