Nov 17 1938 times note O C Wikert purchased the Phillips oil station on Highway 17 and took possession yesterday. Frank Mahan previously operated the business but it had been closed during closure of the paying period. Mrs. Chris Henningsen died after illness. funeral set for Saturday at 1 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P Herman sen and at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran church in Graettinger. Hilmer Larsen of the Wallingford area plans to exhibit Milking Strain Shorthorn cattle at the International Live Stock Show in Chicago, shipping cattle on Nov 24. Several locals attended Emmetsburg Estherville Armistice Day football. game ended in a scoreless tie. Graettinger gym work progresses rapidly with fair fall weather aiding progress this fall. Mr. and Mrs. H R Gross of Des Moines visited Graettinger Saturday and stayed with Dr and Mrs Olene Jacobson. Gross enjoyed the visit.

Lutefisk Supper Set By Graettinger Ladies Aid

The First Lutheran Ladies Aid of Graettinger will host its annual lutefish supper at the church parlors Friday evening November 18 with serving starting at five o clock. Last year about 500 attended this Graettinger event.
