Junior Class Play At Hawkeye Wednesday Night

The junior class presents What Happened To Jones at Hawkeye Theatre on Wednesday evening November 27. A high class comedy about mistaken identity as a bishop and a fake bishop cause a whirl of troubles with love plots and a quirky cast. Appeals are sent for Thanksgiving funds to support the Christian Home Orphanage in Council Bluffs Iowa. Fine new equipment at Emmetsburg theatre brings talkies

The Town Theatre at Emmetsburg is now equipped with Western Electric sound, costing about $20,000. The new machine was in stalled and used Sunday to a capacity crowd for the opening show Israeli. Graettinger residents attended, praising the setup as one of the finest in the northwest, rivaling Fairmont.

Two Land Deals In This Locality Last Ten Days

In the Grachtinger locality within ten days two land deals were made. John Bondhus bought a quarter section of land called the Masters place, a mile north of Hoping, at 117.50 dollars per acre. PLC Bogle of Grarttinger acquired a half section in Vernon township. price not disclosed. The note warns that land is moving and demand for desirable farms may soon end, urging buyers to act now.
