Tragic Train Collision Claims Antone Guerdet
Antone Guerdet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guerdet of Crookston Minnesota, sustained severe injuries when a passenger train struck his auto at a rural crossing. He died at Cole hospital shortly after, despite being rushed there for treatment. The crossing is described as unusually dangerous with limited visibility. The accident occurred around 11:80 and remains under investigation.

Armistice Day Programs At Hawkeye Theatre
American Legion held Armistice Day events at the Hawkeye theatre with Commander Art Henningsen presiding. Dr. J J Bushnell and Rev. C J Mekkelson gave principal addresses. Miss Elizabeth Spies sang, LeRoy Bartleman played violin, and community songs were sung with piano by Mrs John Jackman. A later Thanksgiving program and dinner were announced by the Ladies Aid Society. Harry Mahiman suffered serious injuries from a blasting powder explosion Saturday night and was hospitalized Sunday morning.
