Frank Carpenter editor of the Estherville Democrat died in a Chicago sanatorium after a nervous breakdown and pneumonia. He was 66, served as postmaster for nine years, owned and edited the Democrat for forty years, was born near Wallingford, and spent his life in Emmet County. Funeral held in Estherville, never married, survived by siblings in Estherville and Cedar Rapids.

Truck Driver Hit By Train At Emmetsboro Crossing
