Funeral Of Mrs John Keane Held Sunday
The remains of Mrs. John Keane 70 of Long Beach California arrived in Graettinger Sunday morning accompanied by her daughter Mrs. Guida Riley and her son Edward Keane. Funeral Mass was at eight in the Catholic church officiated by Father Kelly with burial beside her husband who died in 1907. pallbearers were C. M. Nolan John Leonard Matt Quinn P. F. Carney P. J. McCarty and W. L. O Connor. Mrs Keane born Jane Scully in Ireland 70 years ago came to the United States at 13 and lived in Graettinger, Emmetsburg, Colorado and California. Survivors include sons Edward Matthew Anthony and daughter Mrs John S. Riley. two grandchildren. sister Mrs Peter Cullen of San Francisco and stepdaughter Mrs John O Neill of Emmetsburg. The Times extends sympathy to all.

George H. Gammon, 93, longtime Graettinger figure and pioneer businessman, died May 19 in Pasadena California. Funeral services were held at C I Lamb Funeral Home with Rev B E Watson officiating. He lived 23 years in California after moving from New York state and was born in Boston. Survived by daughter Mary Elizabeth Frbg bie and four grandchildren including JL Calvin Gammon and James W. James Hansen Dies in Spencer at 66 After Pneumonia
James Hansen 66 died at Spencer hospital Friday May 24 as a pneumonia victim. He was brother in law to John Hansen of Graettinger. The funeral was held Monday with Graettinger relatives present. Born in Malma Sweden May 10 1870 he came to America at 19 settling at Dickens. He married Minnie Hansen June 25 1895. five children Mrs Ray Rustan Mrs Clarence Rustan Mrs Charles Winn Roy and Henry who died in 1928. There are five grandchildren and a sister Mrs Ole Johnson of Ruthven. The Times extends sympathy to the family and John Hansen and his relatives.
