Auto Crash Near Porter Residence Causes Narrow Escape
An Overland car owned by Oscar Craven and driven by Joe Craven with Agnes Smith Kathryn Mahan and Kathryn Sullivan tipped over on the Estherville Graettinger road Sunday. A loose front wheel pin caused the axle to drop to the ground and an embankment throw. Kathryn Sullivan flew about 25 feet. others less. All but the driver were briefly unconscious but none seriously injured. The car suffered heavy damage estimated at $100. The second accident near T J Brekke involved Martin Refsell and Louis Sevatson with Idella Murphy and Millie Duhn. no injuries. Bazaar and lunch planned by the Danish Ladies Aid for Saturday June 7 at Hawkeye theatre with services in Danish and English and a lecture by Chaplain James C Petersen.
