Runaway Accident Leaves Herman Baedke Injured at Depot
Herman Baedke suffered a skull injury a dislocated arm and other bruises in a runaway accident at the Rock Island depot. His team spooked at the morning passenger, he grabbed the horse by the bit and was knocked down as the wagon and horse fell on him. The team struck an electric light pole and stopped. Dr Nane treated him. he is about but badly shaken and fortunate to have escaped with his life.
