Graettinger High School defeated the Bachelors 13 to 8 in a hard fought game at the local gym. Afterward Graettinger awarded each high school player a letter G, honoring faithful effort, with Capt Calvin Gammon leading the squad.
M C Larsen, back from Florida, says winter days are warm and pleasant and nights cool. He notes summer heat and mosquitoes are oppressive for a couple of months and would not want to reside there permanently despite enjoying the trip.
Ralph Poole of Graettinger drove a Ford roadster to Spencer, defying snowdrifts eighteen to twenty feet high. He started with a bobsled team to load the car, but chose to drive home instead, navigating pastures ditches and snowbanks. The journey required twelve pulls to free the car from ditches. Miss Kathryn Hendricks traveled to Estherville on Saturday to visit her sister Miss Frances who is hospitalized there.

The church outlines an Easter program and a push to raise funds for Missionary Fields via S S Classes. Mrs Cuthbert and her class will host a Martha Washington lunch at Johnson and Jensen Implement store next Saturday afternoon to support missions. The pastor will administer communion Sunday morning, preach at South Vernon at 3 p.m., and lead services at the main church in the evening, with a Wednesday 8 p.m. service.
A. T. Hereim sold his Graettinger restaurant to R. K. Sapp of Estherville on Monday the same day Sapp took possession. Hereim had bought the business from C. A. Trego around January 1 and ran it successfully. The Times welcomes Mr and Mrs Sapp to our city.
