Descriptive tour of Shagri La desert to prairie wagons and museums
A narrative recounts a journey through a warm desert oasis where cultivated fields thrive after frost. It describes cabbage lettuce and carrot crops, high water needs, and a king cotton harvest. The piece notes mountain excursions for gold, Old West relics in a museum, and celebrity studio scenes with Dick Van Dyke. It ends with a slice of local legislature life and a Texas vacation report.
