Boy Shot Through Hand While Canoeing on River
The 12 year old son of Lars Linden was accidentally shot in the right hand by a 22 caliber rifle while canoeing on the river with Guilford Paulsen. Paulsen was aiming at a target when the canoe swerved and the rifle discharged. The wound was dressed promptly and is healing as well as expected. The accident could have been far more serious.

Rev Sande returned from Far go North Dakota where 28 ministers completed seminary training during the Norwegian Lutheran church meeting. Four will serve in foreign missions and the rest at home. A union was formed among the three Norwegian Lutheran bodies, all to be under one head. Additional church affairs were transacted.

Hail Storm Harms Crops Near Ayrshire and Graettinger
Mr and Mrs T S Hendricksen and family traveled from Graettinger to Nevel and Storm Lake by auto last week visiting relatives. En route near Ayrshire they faced a severe rain and hail storm causing heavy damage in Great Oak township. Oats were ripped and corn fields appeared plowed. Hail also hit Humboldt and Arnold towns with destruction observed. Local farmers hope for no repeat storm.

Fred Green Seeks Mexico Lesson for Yaquis
