Funeral of Mrs Boyle Draws Large Local Attendance
Mr and Mrs P Sherlock and their daughter Mrs J J O Rourke returned from Ayrshire on Tuesday after attending the funeral of Mrs Boyle who died Saturday evening. She was about 70, a grandmother of Miss Mae Boyle of this place. The funeral Tuesday drew many old friends and neighbors with fully 75 automobiles in the procession.

P Sherlock of Ayrshire traveled to Graettinger by Tuesday afternoon and reported corn in the area looking better than west and southwest of Emmetsburg. He praised Mrs Leahy’s farm as having the best field seen on the trip and noted Ayrshire’s notable business activity and his revived old acquaintances there.

Boy Killed by Runaway Team in Ceylon
Joyce Querna, a 15 year old boy, died after being struck by a runaway wagon in Ceylon Friday afternoon. He was run down when the horses collided with him, the back of his head crushed and internal injuries causing fatal bleeding. He did not regain consciousness before death.

School Building On the Way to New Location
Peter Miller has the wooden school building blocked up to move from its present site in a few weeks. The Woodman association bought the lot next to Mr. Michaels’ residence to place their building and will relocate Mr. Michaels’ house onto it. This frees three lots west of the Times office for the school, as the 48 foot wide building cannot fit on the two vacant lots. An attempt to move the Times office one lot east was blocked by price disputes with M. C. Larsen, making the move costly due to heavy machinery and a concrete floor.
