Mrs. C. C. Oleson Dies After Illness and Surgery
Mrs. Kristine Marie Hendricksen Oleson of southwest town died last Saturday after pneumonia and a recent hospital surgery. Born April 29, 1888 in Grundy County Iowa, she married Ole C. Oleson in 1905 and had eleven children, ten living. Funeral services were held at Danish Lutheran Church South Walnut with Rev. H. P. K. Hansen officiating. Interment in South Walnut cemetery. Survived by her husband, ten children, her mother Mrs. T. S. Hendricksen, one brother Peter Hendricksen and six sisters. The community mourns a devoted wife and mother.

Grade teachers include Ida Gunderson, Florence Wiger, Esther Simonsen, Lillian Millen, Cory Christopher, Clara May Shatava. In Emmetsburg a wedding joined Harry J. Brown and Laura Griggs at two o clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev Brereton officiated. The couple will reside on a farm north of the city after a short wedding trip. The bride, daughter of E W Griggs, is a Emmetsburg High School graduate and former county teacher. Ku Klux Meeting Largely Attended at Estherville
A large cross was burned at an Estherville Ku Klux meeting on Wednesday evening indicating a semi public gathering. Rev LaGrone of Sheldon defended the group saying it has no quarrel with any denomination and would remove lax officials who did not enforce its aims.
