Weiershauser Presented To Princess Anne At Dedication

Hans Weiershauser, father of Graettinger High School alumnus Kurt Weiershauser, represented an architectural firm at the Kensington Chelsea City Hall dedication in London on May 31. He met Princess Anne and noted her charm and questions about the building during tea with the Lord Mayor. He and his wife Ruth Frick reside in Heidelberg, Germany.

Viola Reports Precipitation Totals in June

Viola records measurable precipitation last week with 0.17 inch on Wednesday and 0.17 inch on Friday near the north edge of town. In town and east parts, higher totals were noted. An additional 0.07 inch fell Friday night, bringing the total to 0.41 inch.

Scouts Schedule Biweekly Paper Drives Beginning June 25

The Cub and Webelo Scouts will hold paper drives every two weeks on Saturdays from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. starting June 25 to give residents more time to prepare. Scouts praise past drives and hope for continued participation.
