Dr M Budyk a Dubuque optical specialist was removed Friday from his quarters at the Paris hotel to Mercy hospital after injuries from the M and St L passenger train wreck a few miles south of Callender Wednesday morning. Four ribs were broken and he suffered serious bruising. The wreck occurred while the crew tried to make up lost time between Fort Dodge and Des Moines when a driving wheel broke and toppled three coaches down the embankment. The doctor is known locally for several professional visits.
