Dean’s List honors for Petersen at Washington University

Dean’s List recipient Chris Petersen, son of Mr and Mrs Lloyd C Petersen of Graettinger, earned a 3.8 GPA on the 3.5 required scale for 1975 76 at Washington University St Louis Arts and Sciences. Iowa State Ames lists 19 area students with 3.5 GPAs for spring quarter. 4 H livestock exhibitors must file entries at local extension office by July 30. late entries not accepted.

Public Hearing On Waste Water Improvements In Graettinger Iowa

The City of Graettinger Iowa announces a public hearing on September 27 1976 at 7 30 PM at City Hall to discuss proposed wastewater treatment improvements funded partly by federal aid. Comments may be written to the City Clerk by hearing time and date. Detailed plans environmental assessment and financing alternatives are on file for public inspection. Funeral Services for Harold Thatcher Held in Winnebago

Funeral services were held at United Methodist Church in Winnebago Minnesota on Tuesday July 27 1976 for Harold Thatcher age 55 who died July 25 from a massive heart attack. Clergymen Reverend Gordon D Johnson and Reverend Harland Babcock officiated with organist Mrs Stanley Sundberg and sabist Mr Stanley Sundberg. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery Winnebago Spencer-Owen Home in charge. The notice also includes a health feature on early warning signs of heart attack urging prompt medical attention and public education by the Heart Association.
