Army Worms In Canada A letter from T 8 Sullivan chief lifglpatcher for the Canadian National railways at Port Arthur describes army worm trouble. Millions of them clog rails and stall freight trains. Freight engines now have blower pipes to clean the tall. Worms eat poplar stack mountain ash and sweet cherry trees. Campers have had to return to the city. A July neat wave has begun since Monday with high humidity and warm nights. Corn is shooting upward knee high today and much of it has been knee high for a week.

War Veteran Louie Reno Dies at 42 In Des Moines
Louis Reno a former Gractinger boy died last Wednesday at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines at about age 42. Funeral was Saturday with burial near Marshalltown. He served in U S forces during World War I, suffering a severe wound in the side and leg. He spent years in veterans hospitals after the war and is mourned by his wife two children his mother and several siblings.

Water Over Pavement At Chariton Iowa Flood Scene
