Graettinger high school improved to 4-1 in the Cornbelt Conference and 7-4 overall after a 97 67 home win over Mallard Ducks. Four Pirates scored in double figures led by Gerald Studer with 21 and Mike Masters 20. Guards and reserves contributed as Graettinger pulled away after a tight start, building a 68 46 edge by the end of the third. Coach Fete Hansen praised the second half defense and offense as Graettinger dominated the boards and free throws.
