Local News in Kossuth County Delinquencies and Disappearances
In Kossuth county only 219 auto owners were delinquent at the first of January. The Farmers Creamery Co. at Swea City will install a refrigerating plant costing $2,000 and dispose of the old ice house. Laverne Waldee, 12, son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Waldee of near Huntington, has been missing since November 24. Miss Jenn Howell returned to Minneapolis after four weeks with her parents and sister. She is a trained nurse and had charge of a surgical case for Mrs. H. G. Howell.

Ruthven Young Man With Marines In Nicaragua
Harry Sessel, stationed with U S Marines at Quantico, visited Ruthven this week. He recounted daring actions in Nicaragua where Marines hunted bandits ambushing a mule train. fourteen bandits were killed as three Marines died, and civilians fled as Marines burned villages. The Ruthven Free Press reports these war tales.
