Edward Bradley son of Mr and Mrs M R Bradley of Vernon township and Miss Lulu Zubler of Emmetsburg were united in marriage at Assumption Church in Emmetsburg on Tuesday morning December 31 at 8 30 o clock. James Mahan and wife attended. After the ceremony the couple and relatives returned to the bride's parents for a wedding breakfast. They will reside on a local farm and be at home to friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr and Mrs John Zubler, a graduate of Emmetsburg High School. The groom is regarded as a thrifty industrious and upright young man. The Times extends congratulations.

County Treasurer J. J. Martin provides figures on December auto licenses. Total licenses issued 2866 with 354 trucks and a number of trailers. January figures show 1800 owners without licenses, many applying from other communities and mailing applications to the treasurer’s office.

Iowa Theater Programs in Times Each Week

A letter from A. J. Swanton of the Iowa Theatre Emmetsburg says he will use Times columns for Iowa Theatre programs in 1980. North Palo Alto and southern Eramet county patrons can follow weekly ads in the Times. Swanton has installed a Wester Electric machine, the building suits sound, and recent months show sizable patronage. Additionally J A Nelson of Wallingford faces pneumonia but is improving, with Graettinger friends hoping for full recovery. A Wrst National Bank educational window displays corn samples from alkali soils and other samples, illustrating notable soil differences.

Immunization drive for pre school children under PTA notice

The county nurse and PTA sponsor an immunization campaign against diphtheria for preschool and school children. Three toxin antitoxin shots are given at about one week apart, beginning Friday at 9 am for parents who return signed slips. The cost is 1.50 for the three shots, saving 1.50 off the regular 3.00 price. the school will host the final sessions in the domestic science room with local doctors assisting.

Consolidation of Hatcheries Brings Cameron Plant Growth

During the week the Schuler Hatchery equipment was consolidated with the Cameron Hatchery plant. O H Raleigh, new head of the Schuler Jamesway outfit, transferred it to Alfred Cameron, creating a larger, fully equipped facility with modern hatchers. Cameron, an experienced hatcheryman, will likely provide strong service to the community through his expanded plant and existing Jamesway cabinet machines.
