Death of Mrs en Jensen aggravates grief in Graettinger

Tuesday death of Mrs. Jensen follows a long illness. She was born to Antoine Jophersen of Lost Island and married OM Jensen twelve years ago, with two children. The couple recently disposed of property and planned a new home. her death brings sorrow to Graettinger as friends and neighbors express sympathy to Mr Boysen and bereaved family. She was a Christian and a devoted wife and mother, held in high esteem by all who knew her. The Times extends condolences.

Sledding Accident Injures Clayton Rosenberg

Clayton Rosenberg, son of Mr and Mrs Norman Rosenberg, narrowly escaped death after his sled veered from course and struck barb wire. The wire gashed his throat exposing the jugular and windpipe. Dr Nane treated the wound with many stitches and the boy was recovering well with no complications anticipated.

Farmers' Grain company names new officers and declares dividend

The annual meeting of the Farmers' Grain company shareholders was held at The Hawkeye theater Saturday afternoon. Elected officers include John Bondhus as president D E McCarty as vice president Jorgen Anderson as secretary and F L Lambe Oscar Craven C H Berdin John Nelson and Elmer Olson as directors. A dividend of 8 percent was declared. Manager W L O'Connor reported a successful year of business.

Oil can patent owner to start local manufacture

M T Axelton received part of his oil can machinery with plans to install it in Graettinger within months. He has long held the patent and will sell through wholesale houses while electricity arrival enables local production. The marriage of Miss Margaret H. O Connor of Graettinger to Mr S G Cook a Tacoma contractor was solemnized at Immaculate Conception church in Graettinger on Tuesday morning January 9 Rev J I Kelly officiating. Attended by W L O Connor and Miss Ellen O Connor. After a wedding breakfast at Mrs George Truesdell’s they left for a southward honeymoon and will reside in Tacoma. The bride, daughter of the late James O Connor, is well known. the groom is a Tacoma contractor. The Times extends best wishes.

The Farmers' Co-Operative Creamery of Graettinger held its annual meeting in Hawkeye theater.
