Bachelor Club Banquet Highlights Society Evening

Monday night the Grachtinger Bachelor club held its annual banquet for members and ladies. The event featured a moving picture by the P T A, a rousing Opera House ovation, and a banquet for eighty at Woodman hall with a menu prepared by PTA workers.

Banquet and Social Dance Highlight Community Effort

A banquet featured a varied menu including carne del gallo and patatas con sauce with black bread and olives. The Bartleman orchestra performed while supporters praised the PTA for organizing the event and theatre production. Proceeds from the banquet and opera house receipts benefit the local library.

Battleman Brothers have installed two pool tables in their billiard parlor and added two special clocks to operate on the same system. They now run six tables in operation.

Moraine Farmer Plans Spring Sale in Guthrie County

20 A.D. Moraine, a substantial local farmer, intends to pull out in the spring and become his own landlord. He owns a fine Guthrie County farm and will publish particulars of the sale in Time next week. His plan affects residents of Hmmet and Palo Alto counties with the date set for January 20.

Bartleman Orchestra Shine in Graettinger Concert

A highly praised program at Hawkeye theatre featured the Bartleman orchestra with Miss Elizabeth Spies. The concert included names like LeRoy Bartleman Harold Crim R. W. Andrews Ray Gleanon Miss Olive Noble and Norman Osher. After the show a social dance followed and half the receipts supported the Parent-Teachers association for library use.

Woodmen Lodge Hosts Old Time Social Meeting

Woodman lodge members and friends held an old time meeting Friday night featuring engaging lecturer Mr. Cross of Des Moines who highlighted the Woodman lodge and Royal Neighbors. The event included motion picture slides on the order and a social dance followed by a midnight banquet, with plans to recruit new members.
