The Iowa Department of Job Service placed 5293 workers in employment during November, down 1537 from October's 6830. Kenneth L. Hays, director of Job Placement, notes a seasonal dip though year over year shows a 1255 rise from last November's 4038. First two months of the current fiscal year total 12123 employed, with youth under 22 dropping to 2070 from 3132 in October. Veteran placements were 1217 in November, including 150 handicapped ex GIs, while nonveteran handicapped workers numbered 181 versus 267 in October.
