Marshmallow World of Winter and Home Life Reflections
A nostalgic memoir-like vignette recalls a country winter in Iowa. The narrator describes snowy scenes along the Iowa River, self-sufficient farming life, cold kitchens, frosted windows, wood stoves, and cozy family spaces like the woodshed attic. References to sleigh bells, sleigh rides, and homemade bread stitch together vivid 1960s rural childhood imagery.
