Declam Contest in Graettinger Monday Night
A county and state declamatory contest will be held at Graettinger high school Monday evening February 26 with nine contestants from Ayrshire Ruthven and Graettinger across oratorical dramatic and humorous classes. The top two in each class advance to the county contest at Mallard, then the eventual winners may reach the sectional state meet. Cylinder will also hold a similar contest resulting in six county qualifiers. Admission is 10, 25, or 5 cents.

Carl Hansen born in Denmark January 8 1864 came to the United States in 1890 settling at Cedar Malls Iowa. He married Miss Mikelson and had six children, three died in infancy. He lived at Cedar Falls then Martin County Minnesota and near Graettinger before dying February 13 at 65. Survived by wife and five children Axel Hansen Arthur Camille Herbert Forest. brothers in Gridley and Denmark. The Times extends sympathy.
