A quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs Frank Johnson as Miss Lottie E John son and Mr Albert Jensen were united. Rev A R Cuthbert conducted the ceremony. Groomsman and bridemaid were Mills A Miller and his wife from Illinois. A three course dinner followed. The couple plan to visit relatives before starting housekeeping across from the bride’s parents. The bride is known in Graettinger and admired. the groom is well regarded. Our New Corn King Frank Weir Crowned by Farmers Institute
Frank Weir, a modest local farmer, is celebrated after winning multiple prizes at the Farmers Institute. He secured first in best yellow ear and 10 ear variety, plus sweepstakes for single ear and 10 ear entries, totaling 11.50 dollars with ear earnings over a dollar each. The Jones Wimple corn from Mrs. D.C. Top farm east of town yielded about 48.40 dollars per acre or 88 cents per bushel, establishing Weir as champion corn grower of the area.

City to survey town and study sewerage plan
