New Lutheran Hospital to Be Erected at Mason City
Lutherans of Mason City plan a large hospital to serve some 200000 Lutherans in the region. The effort is led by A. M. Schanke and a broad board including Rev. R. N. Vardale, Rev. C. C. Jensen, and others with support from chambers, merchants, and the Synod. The hospital, to be named St. Luke's, aims to raise about 400000 for construction and operations with four membership levels and official endorsements from church and civic bodies.
