Mrs. Ole Hansen Funeral in Graettinger South Walnut

Mrs. Ole Hansen a Danish born pioneer mother of Peter and James Hansen died suddenly Monday at five after two hours illness. Funeral held Wednesday at her home and Danish Lutheran church South Walnut with interment beside husband. Rev. Axel M. Andersen led services. Peter and James Hansen and family mourn. two sons, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren survive.

Graettinger Tile Works Declares 60 Percent Dividend

At the Graettinger Tile Works annual meeting held Tuesday evening a stock dividend of 60 percent was declared. President and manager Mr. Spies leads the firm in a competitive stance with Bob Stewart of Standard Oil of Indiana, who recently announced a 50 percent stock dividend. The Tile Works is reported to be performing well with steady business.

Peter Hansen Suffers Second Stroke During Mother’s Funeral

Peter Hansen suffered a second stroke yesterday afternoon as the funeral of his mother Mrs. Ole Hansen was held. He remains in very serious condition and, despite the sincere sympathy of friends, the outlook is guarded. Early improvement is hoped for.

Indictments Reported From Palo Alto Grand Jury

A Palo Alto grand jury returned two indictments. One accuses George Cleven of Bancroft of liquor transportation after an arrest by Sheriff Shea and Deputy Hiltonnesy Rodman. The other, J. A. Olivier of Spencer, faces charges of misrepresentation in selling fire extinguishers linked to the Lost Island School district.
