Mrs Margaret Nefstead conducted an auction sale yesterday at the farm. Prices were satisfactory with the top bid on cows reaching 162 dollars. She has rented the farm to her son and plans to move to town.
Goose Finds Ring in Goose Tongue Near Bancroft
Mrs. R. A. Clark of near Bancroft discovered a child's ring embedded around a goose's tongue while dressing the bird a few days before Christmas. The ring appeared undamaged, and she believes the goose picked it up and swallowed it, later forcing it onto its tongue. The incident was recorded by the Algona Republican.
