James Anderson born in Denmark and raised in Europe came to the United States in 1904 and settled near Graettinger Iowa. He served in World War I and died December 10 1934 at age 47 after a brief illness. Funeral was military with ex service members in uniform and taps. He leaves a wife Mabel Hester six children and a brother.

Thomas Reierson 86 of Madison Wisconsin brother of John Reierson Lost Island township passed away at his son house in Madison on Thursday December 18. Remains shipped to Palo Alto for burial with Lewison Grosttinger undertaker meeting hewn train at Emmetsburg and bringing remains to Lost Island for burial. Services held at Lost Island Lutheran church with Rev M Mansager officiating. burial beside his wife. Born January 26 1848 in Numedahl Norway he came to the United States in the 1870s and lived on a farm near Graettinger before moving to Wisconsin in 1891. Survived by two sons C R and J H Reierson of Madison a stepson Louis Johnson and a stepdaughter Lina Ellickson of Madison and twenty five grandchildren. The Times notes his pioneering role and extends sympathy to family.
