Priebe Plan Backed for Property Tax Rollback in Iowa
Assistant Senate majority leader Bert Priebe of Algona announced the Legislative Tax Study Committee accepted his plan. The Priebe Plan calls for a 20 percent rollback of all Iowa property valuations across agricultural commercial residential and industrial property and shifts to productivity-based assessment where possible starting in 1977.
