Hansen Corrects City Manager Ordinance Remark
Councilman Merle Hansen today clarified his December 11 1975 comments in the Graettinger Times about the City Manager Ordinance. He retracts any claim that adoption would cede all powers, says Attorney Charles Barlow did not deem the ordinance legally wrong, and states the drafted ordinance by Francis Fitzgibbons is legally correct but unsuitable for Graettinger due to two year City Manager tenure and Board hiring powers.
